WHY A HEAT PUMP?
Reduce gas use and modernise your heating system.
A heat pump uses energy from the outside environment to heat your home. Instead of producing all required heat by burning natural gas, electricity is used to transfer available environmental heat into the heating system.
Lower gas consumption
A hybrid heat pump can provide a large part of the heating demand while the boiler remains available when required. With a suitable all-electric installation, the conventional gas boiler can be removed for space heating and domestic hot water.
High efficiency
A heat pump transfers heat instead of producing it through direct electric resistance. Under suitable conditions, one kWh of electricity can provide several kWh of useful heat. Actual efficiency depends on the property and operating conditions.
Heating & cooling
Many modern heat pumps can also provide cooling when combined with a suitable installation such as appropriate underfloor heating or fan-coil units.
ISDE SUBSIDY
A Dutch subsidy can significantly reduce the investment.
Many approved heat pumps installed in the Netherlands are eligible for the ISDE subsidy. The exact amount depends on the selected model, capacity, efficiency and applicable RVO meldcode and can represent several thousand euros.
When preparing a proposal, Falco can identify the applicable RVO meldcode and indicate the expected subsidy for the selected heat pump.

Hybrid Heat Pump
A practical step towards lower gas consumption.
The heat pump works together with a gas boiler. It provides heating whenever this can be done efficiently, while the boiler remains available for higher heating demand, high water temperatures and, depending on the configuration, domestic hot water.
Suitable for: existing homes · existing boilers · partial renovations · gradual transition away from gas.

All-Electric Heat Pump
Heating and domestic hot water without a conventional gas boiler.
An all-electric heat pump is designed to provide the complete heating demand and can produce domestic hot water through a suitable cylinder. The property, insulation, heat emitters and required water temperatures must be suitable.
Suitable for: well-insulated homes · renovations · low-temperature heating · customers wanting to move away from gas.
THE COMPLETE SYSTEM MATTERS
A heat pump is more than the outdoor unit.
Performance depends heavily on how the complete heating system is designed. Falco assesses the hydraulic and control installation rather than simply selecting an outdoor unit.
Hydraulics
Pipe dimensions, flow rates, circulation pumps, valves, buffer volume and hydraulic configuration.
Heat distribution
Assessment of radiators and underfloor heating in relation to the required capacity and operating temperature.
Domestic hot water
Correctly sized hot-water storage and integration for all-electric systems.
Protection & controls
Expansion vessel, safety equipment, magnetic filtration, sensors, thermostats and system controls.
The right heat pump starts with the right system design.
Simply installing a larger heat pump does not automatically create a better heating system. An oversized or incorrectly configured system can cycle unnecessarily and operate inefficiently, while an undersized system may not provide sufficient heating during colder conditions.
Falco approaches the installation as a complete engineering problem. We look at the property, existing installation and customer requirements before determining the appropriate solution.
Existing home? No problem.
A heat pump installation does not necessarily require replacing the complete heating system. Depending on the property, existing radiators, underfloor heating and even the existing boiler can sometimes be incorporated into the new installation. We assess what can remain, what should be modified and what needs to be replaced.
The objective is not to install as much equipment as possible. The objective is to create a heating system that works properly.
From assessment to commissioning.
1. Initial assessment
We discuss the existing installation, gas consumption, property characteristics and your objectives.
2. Technical inspection
Where required, we inspect the boiler, heating distribution, radiators, underfloor heating, installation space and electrical connection.
3. System proposal
We determine whether hybrid or all-electric is appropriate and define the main equipment and hydraulic configuration.
4. Transparent quotation
The equipment, installation scope and expected ISDE subsidy are clearly identified where applicable.
5. Installation
Falco installs and connects the complete hydraulic system according to the agreed scope.
6. Commissioning
The system is commissioned, settings are checked and its operation and controls are explained.
